how much paint do i need
i have a 66 gmc flat bed truck. i want to repaint the cab of the truck., i sure can use some help so i can order the paint., i want it light blue and white., thxs jeff

A lot depends on the paint you are using and how many coats you want to put on to get the look you are shooting for. If you are ordering the paint from a good shop, they should be able to give you a good estimate.
My '69 took about 8 cans.

Painting my truck I used a gallon of color for two coats, but I had the bed to paint. Depends upon the color of the paint and how much reducer and or hardner it uses. My paint was a 2:1 mix so it was 1.5 gallons when reduced. Some colors will cover in two coats some take three. I agree with the post above, talk to the paint shop before you make a decision. Better a little extra than not enough.

A lot would depend on color for coverage. Are you doing single stage paint or using clear?
