60-66 Trucks with Push Bars or Grill Guards!

Saw a thread like this for 67-72's.....

I am contemplating a push board - bar across the front of my truck like they used for push starting dragsters.

I will start off with a few photos, if you have some please post them up:

Re: 60-66 Trucks with Push Bars or Grill Guards!

The bottom two examples are similar to how I was planning on redoing mine. I originally had a tubular receiver under the bumper for my short push bar since my push pin on the rear of my dragster was at the same height as my front bumper. So, when I started restoring my truck and decided to lower the truck, my friend did an alternate rendering with how I planned to redo my push bar. I really only used it to push my dragster about 20 feet back into my pit space after towing it down the return road, so it wasn't really heavy duty. But, this is what it will look like...

Make sure that when you build your pushboard that it extends far enough out to prevent any damage to your truck in the unlikely event that the pushbar on the car rides over the top of it.
