metal dash brace replacement help

I'm working on my '84 and was wondering if you guys knew of anyone who might sell the metal bracing that the dash is made of. It's the part that everything snaps/bolts into and is spot welded into the windhsield pinch weld. The one in my truck has been hacked up and was wanting to replace it if possible. I checked LMC and didn't see where they sell it. Any help is appreciated.

A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.

Re: metal dash brace replacement help

Pretty bad. Where the stock radio goes someone did some cutting and welding and really bent up the metal. Also where the A/C vent goes in the center of the dash they did some cutting where it looks like they tried to install a radio or something. I was going to just hammer and dolly the metal back in place and weld it up but it's really messed up around the stock radio area.

Re: metal dash brace replacement help

I have a piece cut out of a stock dash where the factory radio goes that's unmolested. Pm me for pics and price. I'd post it here but I don't want to get your thread locked because I turned it into a for sale thread.
