Aftermarket gauges in our trucks... Lets see them!!!

Im thinking about putting this tach from summit racing in my truck and was wondering if itd work?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G2908/

And im also looking for a water temp, oil pressure, and voltage gauge in a three way set up and was wondering what would be a good set for them. Any information you have on them and how do you like them would be great!
Thanks

Here are some good guage threads. When I did mine my main concern was visibility. If I did it today I would just put them in the dash.

Here 2 pictures I took, before my Truck went into the Body/Paint Shop for the Interior to be sprayed.
IO have Silver Faced Auto Meter Pro Comp II Gauges in my 72 GMC.
I'll be putting Green 360 Degrees LED Lights in it, to match the future Exterior color.
The Gauge Bezel is from Docs Kustoms.

What im thinking about doing it put the tach on the steerng wheel right in front of where the factory tach would be and then put the three oil, temp, and voltage under where the heat contols are. Bruceman1968 where did you get your tach? How hard was it to instal?
Thanks

Re: Aftermarket gauges in our trucks... Lets see them!!!

I got it from Jegs or Summitt 15 years ago. It's a sport comp 0 to 8000, 5in dial. It came with a Pedestal mount. I just strapped the pedestal mount to the steering column with a large hose clamp. Lot of guys do it that way. It's not the prettiest, but it works well.......Bruce
EDIT As for the wires there are four. red, white, green, and black.
red is power
white is lights
green goes to coil
black is ground
It was a easy install
