20"rims /1969 gmc help
I got a great deal on 20"s with 295/45/20 all around
The rims are 8 wide ,,,,,I would like to put smaller tires on front How narrow can I get? maybe 245 /50 20 ? can I go 235 ?? I am replacing the drum brakes with disc brakes and 2 1/2 lower spindles any ideas? ty Last edited by drsergio; 02-24-2011 at 10:34 PM. |

Ive got 265 on some 9" wide rims and there is plenty of side cushion, I don't see why a 245 wouldn't work, you can check on the tire manufacturer website and they tell you the min rim width and maximum rim width recommended for each particular size as well as what rim they use to take the tire measurements, hope that helps

i run a 255/35zr20 on my burb and my wheels ar 8.5 " wide
