Do Chevelle big block headers really fit in our trucks? I have a 69 with a big block, I was using Hooker supercomp headers but they hang down too low. I ordered some Doug's but found out today they have been discontinued. I did a search on the board but found nothing definative...you know, fit/doesn't fit, year model/manufacturer if they do fit. Help please and thank you.

Check fizzlefrys tahoe/burb build. it has the part # for some patriot mid lengths that are sweet. Circus wagon jim used Sanderson BBC headers that were for a Chevelle in the circuswagon IIRC. hope this helps

I put Patriot H8012's on mine.

I'm running clamshell motor mounts from a 80's pickup.

I had to slightly modify the drivers side clamshell and the passengers side frame rail.

I don't know about the 3/4 or full length headers, I only have experience with the shorties due to wanting to keep the exhaust pipe above, or damn close, to the frame rails.

they're 67 to 72 chevelle bigblock shortie headers. part number 68610
I had to notch both motor mounts to clear, grind on an ear of the trany (tb400) and the frame by the starter, but If you're not afraid of a little fab work and can trust your welds. That's really the only picture I have of them while the BB was still in the truck
