Small block a/c brackets ?
I don't have the original a/c brackets or compressor. I am wondering if anyone has used ones off of some other Chev application. Most of the 80's chev vehicles were on the drivers side. I want to find something with small block brackets on the passengers side. I have a new engine with no brackets and I know I will probably have to go to the long water pump, any ideas. Thanks

See if someone on the board can supply you with the original ones including the crank pully. You can't beat original GM.
I belive that there is aftermarket stuff ou there but I have not used it myself. Try this link to get and idea: http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/ Have Fun

If you want the compressor on the passengers side then you will probably want to go with the short water pump setup as I am not aware of any long water pump setups with the compressor on the right.
Post a WTB on the parts board and try to get a full set. Piecing a set together is a chore sometimes. Jim |

AC brackets & pulley's
Go to www.classicindustries.com they have every bracket and pulley GM produced for these trucks in reproduction replacement parts. They even have the original a-6 compressor available for R-12 or R-134A They give a brief description of where they mount, and what years they fit. Happy Hunting
