What a deal!!!
I had an ad locally for a dually fender. Guy calls me about an 85 dually w43k miles on it. It was used as a roofing contractors truck only to sit in the winter. Silverado, 454/t400.
Anyhow, bought it expecting to replace the trans but only needed to ad fluid to it and it is fine.Original trans quit and he put a replacemnt trans in, would not move one inch, had it towed home and added 7 qts of fluid and it works perfect. Paid under a 1000.00 for it. I had to tell someone who appreciates it.....John I know the wife does not appreciate it. |

heh, glad to hear you had good luck with your TH400. i bought a '79 K20 from my uncle a few months ago (had been sitting for a year and a half) and resold it to a buddy of mine. drove it to my house, then to his house, then decided to check the fluid. added the 5 qts it needed, and it died a short time after that. sounds like you had an all around good score thought. hell, a running 454 is worth the $1000
