Re: 5 to 6 lug conversion
I did a 6 lug disc conversion on my '67, and used the standard disc spindles from my buddy's '72 (he put in drop spindles). Then ordered a 6 lug disc kit that came with new rotors, bearings, calipers lines and such. It was about $300. It was truly bolt-in and was probably the cheapest way to go.
I looked for a few months for a way to get factory 6 lug rotors that would fit the 5 lug spindles and such, but didn't have any luck unless you wanted to swap out lower control arms and a myriad of other complicated cobbling and machining. Last edited by Zeke's Garage; 03-07-2011 at 11:17 AM. |
