What are these wholes for???

The white door is the original and there is an indent, the blue one is after market and is flush all the way across. What are they for, it's bugging me!!!!!!

The white door is a 72 it carried a different 1/4 window that had thew extra tab there. Jim

the 72 doors havean extra screw for the vent window thats why it is there 67-71 were smooth all the way across
