manual to auto
Sio i have a 72 gmc 4spd manual and a 71 automatic i want to swap the auto in to the gmc fram. do i need to make any mods on the fram itself? i heap hearing about a auto trans crosmember.. I have FULL DONOR TRUCK. I will bassically only keep the frame and engine in the gmc
.. any sugestions or links to sites is appreciated |

It is a pretty easy swap out, especially since you have the doner truck at hand.
I removed the frame supports for the stick shift since it is not needed and the auto cross member bolts into the existing frame holes that are already punched into the frame. Jim

the only thing missing from donor is the linkage for tranny .. what trucks can i yank it out of
