I thought you said you hadn't made much progress??? Looking good. Did you have a pretty solid cab to begin with or did you have to do a lot of fixin? I need more time to work on mine.

1971 C10 Stepside. LSx 6.0 with BTR Stage IV, Speed Engineering Headers, 4L80e transmission w/3200 Circle-D Stall. 3.73. Posi. Purchased this truck when I was 17. I started the rebuild (or take apart) in 1993. I have drug it around all over the country in pieces. Finally back on the road in 2021.

I thought I had bought a decent cab. Once we started grinding out what I thought was surface rust we found problems. Here is what was replaced.
Both front floor pans, Drivers side rear floor, both kick panels, both rockers (inner and outer), both cab corners, passenger side dog leg, drivers side cab support and cutting and grinding on the firewall.

I wonder if the body pannels will line up the same once there on the frame just thinking ....... I have had a really hard time getting mine to line up right on the truck.

What colour are going to paint ?

I can only hope so. We tried to replicate the same structure as the frame with the jig. I am painting it Indigo Blue Metallic whic is a 2002 Chevy truck color.

Looks really good when do you think it will be on the road ? Body work takes forever Eh ? Good luck buddy.

Oh I am drilling alignment holes in every pannel before I take it apart for primer and paint. That way when assembly time comes all that happnes is pop the pin tighten the bolt and on to the next pannel. Less risk of scratching too.
