New cab mounts
Can anyone tell me which of these bushing goes in the front or rear, the threads I see all seem to have the same bushing size. Here are some pics.
I have a 71 C/10 Short bed.. Last edited by 72chevy383; 03-18-2011 at 05:46 PM. Reason: description wrong |

Re: New cab mounts
The thicker mounts go to the front. I am not sure why you have thinner ones for the rear. They may work with shimming.
Here is a pic of the front mount. Jim

Re: New cab mounts
Any chance a vendor or such (like LMC) might have the correct pictures in their literature (online)? Might be a faster help with your specific setup.

Re: New cab mounts
My son put cab bushings in one way on one truck and the other way on a different truck. Both ways seemed to work ok, but on one he did have to do some shimming for the front clip to line-up right.
If I remember right the instructions that came with the bushings from Classic Parts showed the thicker ones on the back. If things don't line up right when we put the truck together it is pretty easy to change the bushings to the right location. One mistake I am going to have to fix before I put the in-cab tank back in is I will need to cut off the extra part of the bolts on the back inside the cab. My cab was originally on a 3/4 ton frame and now we put it on a 1/2 ton frame so we did not have the correct length bolts for the back so we used ones we had laying around.
