SM465 and Rockwell T221 combo **pics, seperated**

I took these out of my truck when I did the NV4500 swap.

Complete SM465 / T221 setup, including bellhousing, starter (needs a solenoid) and driveshafts correct for a '67 - '69 K10 shortbed. All parts functional, 70k original miles.

The bad: either the tranny output seal or the t-case input seal is gone, lots of gear oil leaks out when driving (this is why I removed - just looking for an excuse to swap in the 5 speed). 100% mechanically functional, case never run low on fluid and no weird noises.

Also, no skipping or clunking from the 10-spline coupler.

Was looking for $150 for all of it, make me an offer. Someone come get these out of my garage, I'm close to just tossing them because I need the space! I'd be willing to meet within 75 miles for gas money, so basically anywhere between Portland and Boston / I-95 corridor

Re: SM465 and Rockwell T221 combo

Hi, still might be interested in parts if it comes down to it, such as that coupler and front driveshaft. Let me know.
Thanks
Nick

Re: SM465 and Rockwell T221 combo

New scoop:

Seperated trans and T-case, and opened both up just to take a peak, pics below.

10 Spline couple is almost perfect, very little wear on the transmission side.

Also, leak had two sources - one is that the paper gasket between the tranny and the adapter wasn't in great shape, and the other was the two open access ports on top of the adapter. No idea where the plugs went?

boy those things make a mess don't they. So, what would you want for the the coupler, front driveshaft, and maybe that aluminum cover/shims on the back side of the transfercase? Let me know
Thanks

I'd think $75 and some s&h should do the trick for the coupler and the shaft. Not really wanting to rip the T-case apart just yet, since it's 100% functional.

Re: SM465 and Rockwell T221 combo

T221- I could use the 2 shift rods and "U" that attaches to the shift linkage if you would part with those? Heck, if it matters I'll go for the entire linkage from selector pistons to the shifer.

If I do decide to part the case you're first in line.
