Brake hose question
I just bought a stainless braided brake hose kit for my truck and it has -3AN hose on it...my question is, is there going to be an issue with them being so small? I can honestly say I've never seen such small brake hoses, but I'm not sure whether or not it will affect the performance of the brakes. I realize it shouldn't have any affect on the pressure in the system, but I'm concerned that it might affect the volume/flow of fluid through the system maybe slowing the apply of the brakes....I don't know maybe someone smarter than me can chime in.
Thanks, Andy

Re: Brake hose question
I got SS hoses from summit, I don't remember the brand, but they work fine. I think the rubber ones look bigger because the outer rubber covering is so much thicker.

Re: Brake hose question
Yeah, I think they'll work fine....but I've seen the inside of rubber brake lines, and they are a lot bigger i.d. than these lines I picked up. I think I'm just going to try them and if they seem to be an issue, I'll just upgrade to -4AN hoses down the road

Re: Brake hose question
There is very, very little movement of fluid in your brake system. The pads and shoes are virtually right against the rotors and drums. It takes a tiny amount of fluid movement to apply them together. You're gonna be fine for sure.

Re: Brake hose question
Your #3 hoses are fine. The I.D. of the hose is the same as the I.D. of the hose.
