Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
Hello,
I have a set of 8 lug 19.5 steels for my K30 dump project. Pulled from an early '80s mini-bus, they're nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find around here. Plan to powdercoat white with black lug rings. 245/70R19.5s will look HUGE on there, should look mean . Anyway, don't have any pics, so I'm sorry this doesn't help you. Just didn't want you to fell alone here . I plan to run them, just haven't made of that far yet... Joe Posted via Mobile Device |

I had no idea you were a member here! Love the conversions! Would love to build one, and run super singles on all four corners one day.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
pvkj, that looks so much better! I love the hell outta that truck, but the way those huge chrome caps looked on the black wheels really turned me off. And I actually do like black and chrome wheels, my 82 has black painted stock steel wheels with chrome lugnut covers and trim rings. But those caps were just way too big.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
Are those 245/70s? That sure is a sweet looking truck .
As said, I plan to run 245/70s on my K30. I only have the stock 3-leaf front pack though, plus a Rancho add-a-leaf (supposed to raise 1-1.5"). Hopefully they won't rub too bad. Thoughts? Thanks, Joe P.S. - As far as the confusion regarding the OP and his lowered dually, the fact that it is lowered was never mentioned anywhere in the original post. As said, many refer to 19.5s as 19s. Sorry for the confusion, was just trying to help... Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
On my mobile so I can't post pictures right now, but search my posts. My '87 has 19.5" steelies off a P series van. I really like the way they balance out the look of the truck without being over the edge on wheel/tire ratio.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
These are all 19.5's which won't work on 502ss's lowered dually. How about trucks w/19" (milled 19.5's w/19" tires) combo's? I've only seen a couple & they were in the TnWT website gallery.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
Now you tell me the 19.5" won't work on a lowered truck! Dang I wish I'd known a year ago before I started driving it every day...

How much is your drop? 19.5's are very limited on tire selections when it comes to height (meaning you can't get a 28-29" tall 19.5). So, unless he plans to remove his inner fender well up front or build new ones (both of which he's alluded to are not in his plans) I stand by my comment (those set-ups wouldn't work for him on his dropped truck).

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
I really like those. I also like the 19" size on our trucks...looks very proportionate.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
I know a couple guys running the old GM rv 8 lug 19.5s on squarebodies, I think it looks cool. But I haven't been able to find any and I've been keeping an eye out for years. Limited tire choices in that size, but with a lifted dually I've already got limited tire choices. Right now I've got a 4 inch suspension and 31 inch 16s. If I could find 19.5s and 225 or 245 tires, I'd be willing to add a 3 inch body lift to clear them if I needed to.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
502ss, what are you planning to run for tires? What kind of load rating/size is available? As focused as your build is on keeping the towing ability intact, just curious what you've found.

Re: Pics of duallies with 19" wheels
So I thought I had my mind made up with my wheel choice but now I am wondering if the classic hole pattern would be cool too!!
What do you guys think? Posted via Mobile Device
