A possible trade? lemme know your opinion

Okay so, I have an opportunity to maybe trade my truck (a 1983 blue lwb) for some other guy's truck, and we're going to keep the motors we have, just basically swap motors and maybe a few other parts. I want to keep my wheels and tires and possibly my grille. Anyway, mine is a 1983 custom deluxe lwb(no power locks/windows and the interior is only in decent shape because it was just a wreck when we started), and his is a 1985 Silverado swb(his has power locks and power windows). The paint on his is better, because mine is going to be painted soon, it's already in the process of being primered. Mine has dual exhaust with flowmasters, I'm not sure what his has. I would rather not go back to the stock exhaust because I don't want to pay the money to upgrade it again. Again, I don't have all the information on his truck, I'll post that here whenever I figure that out. Anyway, here are pictures of the two trucks, let me know your opinion.

That's my dilemma.

I just don't know if I can bring myself to let my truck go... it's my first vehicle and I have already done a lot to it.

Not worth it. All yours needs is paint to be nicer then his. Can pretty much gaurentee that if you traded and he painted your truck, you would kick yourself in the ass. You love your truck, but like his. Its not going to be worth loosing that sentimental attachment. Been there. I still regret it.

You only have your "first truck" once. Keep it, and add to the collection when you can.

Re: A possible trade? lemme know your opinion

Thanks for all the opinions guys, I think I'm going to keep my truck. I've already spent too much on it and I'm getting sort of close to being done with it. I don't want to have to redo everything that I did. Plus I'm sure I'll kick myself later if I trade my truck.
