Re: show deck

I have seen them in person at back to the 50s car show in St. Paul MN. and they are very nice. But I made my own for the 1/4 of the price. It is removable but would take some work.

Here is a few as I was building it than I had to disassemble to put on the finish. Also the tailgate is done in maple and black vinyl but do not have pics at this time. The edges have been veneered and is protected by my tonneau cover.

Re: show deck

Both trucks look nice! I'm surprised nobody on the board has made their own version of a show deck like 7DEETWO's.

I'm finishing my Show Deck right now. I start the Varnish process this week. I chose the Ash.
I'll have pics up soon.

Re: show deck

would be a good solution for someone with a solid bedfloor as far as rust but a bunch of dents in it. Could still remove it to haul things when not at a show.

Re: show deck

Actually, you can remove it pretty easy. If you go to the web site and watch the Vid with Stacy he breaks it down.
Some pics of me doing the Finish sanding on the "Show" side.
I'll have more as it goes along.

mark-k sells the strips in a highly polished stainless that looks like chrome. They sell them with the bolt holes or without set up for hidden fasteners....
