"Factory" Roll Bars......Fact or Fiction

I have heard many guys talking about "Factory" roll bars. My experience in owning/parting out probably about 30 of these 69-72 blazers is that there was no factory installed roll bar. I have heard of dealers installing roll bars on blazers back then....along with other aftermarket accessories like winches, grill guards, tow bumpers etc....but were they GM parts or aftermarket? I would love it if others would weigh in on this.

P.S. I know in the middle 70's GM started putting factory roll bars in....

Re: "Factory" Roll Bars......Fact or Fiction

Good point. I always use "factory" to refer to a simple 4-point attached to the front of the wheel tub (as opposed to a Smittybuilt)... Hickey being the most common. "Dealer installed" would be a mo-better description.
