First question, do a serch for "Classic lines" or "classic brake lines". I'm not exactly sure of the name, BUT, I do remember they are out of Buffalo NY for sure. LMC didn't have lines for a 4WD and Classic did. Mine is an 84 K20. These lines fit like a glove and were an EXACT copy of factory except in stainless steel. Even the wire wrap and nuts. The only thing I didn't like was they bent the long lines in half for shipping (they did tag the bend). They are expensive, but well worth the price.All the lines went right in EXCEPT the right front. I had the body off and the eng out and it was still a bear to get past the motor mount bracket. This isn't Classic's fault, they didn't design the line, just make it. Next issue, the way LMC does business. I have bought alot of LMC stuff and never had to send anything back unless it was damaged in shipment by the carrier. They even went so far as authorize a return for me that I ordered wrong 6 to 9 months after I got it. I never got around to send the grille back. jim

Thanks James. I'll have to look into the Classic lines as well b/c I'm all about saving money w/out cutting corners. As for the way LMC does business I have placed several orders w/them as well and have never had a problem w/them at all. I know some board members have but let's face it, you can't please everybody all the time. They must be doing something right b/c they have been around a long time and they are a huge business.

I just installed a set of SS braided brake lines I got from LMC. They are Russell brand lines. Mine fit just fine on my K20 burb. They are not extended, factory length, so might not work if you have much lift.

I have a box at my shop right now from www.inlinetube.com i will be installing most of them tonight i'll let you know how they fit. This is a complete set 8pc. probably post tonight about it.

Well it they went in okay....not as easy as i thought but not terrible. When i get all the clamps up and hold them in the correct spot they should work great. I only have 2 gripes.....1. there is not union just behind the cab where the 2 lines come together i have to go buy one. 2. the rear lines on the axle were not bent as well as i'd like, now i don't know if it's because i ordered 1/2 ton lines and i have 3/4 ton axles but they didn't seem to fit right. I bent them the best i could to look good. But other than that...they went on nicely. I'll post pics tomorrow if you want after i get the clamps done. oh and they were 181.00$ to my door.

I have built more than my share of custom trucks , stainless lines are great but not for brake lines ... could be just me but the copper coated steel lines are a softer metal and seat much better than the stainless steel .
I have seen many a build with either stripped out threads on the proportioning valves and brake lines from guys trying to get them from leaking . Could be just me , the softer metal seems to seat better and if you change you fluid every 5yrs I don't see any difference except for looks . You also have to watch the stainless you area getting , not all stainless is corrosive resistant . Just my 2 cents |

Must not drive in Michigan winter salt. Stainless, do it once. Steel, do it every 10 years, and my NEW truck is 12 years old.
Inline tube is out of the Detroit MI area, I walked in and walked out with my LWB rear lines in 10 minutes. Owner is a hot rodder with a sweet GTO. haven't heard anything bad about Classic either.

i didn't buy stainless but i won't be driving my truck in the winter time it's more of a show truck. But the axles i bought had stainless lines on it and they were rusted too. The protection coil that wraps around the actual line was rusted. But like i said before good line, good price, and it went on pretty smooth.
