Rare, rocker panel delete 72

I guess it isn't that rare for minnesota. This is pretty well stripped and rusted. Sure would have been nice in its day. Anyhow, here are some pics for your viewing pleasure. Not the rustiest i have ever seen, but getting up there. You south and west guys have it made...
Eric

And yes that is a fair amount of snow on the ground in the last pic.

Actually it looks like the ones you used to see around here. We are close to the Gulf and you can drive on the beaches. The salt air killed most

Re: Rare, rocker panel delete 72

If it were mine, I would duct tape a piece of cardboard over the hole and throw some new red carpet over it. You'd never know the difference. Plus, the empty beer cans wouldn't fall out.

Re: Rare, rocker panel delete 72

even better cut the beer cans flat then duct tape them in place the added tinsile strength and resistance to water would ensure more years of not worring about the empty beercans falling out.

Re: Rare, rocker panel delete 72

remindes me of the trucks when I was driving when I was growing up in Northern Iowa. I grew up about 12 miles from the Mississippi and abot 40 miles from the Minnisota state line.

My Dad worked for the county as a truck driver. He got old Aluminum road signs that they had replaced and we cut them to fit and riveted them in place of the old floorboards. Solved the whole Flintstones driving conditions also kept the heat in in the winter

How old is that snow pic? Doesent look like you guys got as much snow as I remember

I think it is more important to keep the heat in than the beer cans...

How old is the snow pic? Yesterday.

71gmcburb, i took another picture today for you of the shady side of the yard. By the back tire of the truck that thing sticking out of the snow is a 14" high horseshoe stake.

Re: Rare, rocker panel delete 72

thank you! that brings back some memorys, My Dad had a 69 Chevy c-30 flatbed that was about that color. I remember there still being snow on the ground at Easter. Somtimes a couple of feet worth. We had many egg hunts indoors. Afew times we would find hard boiled eggs under the cushins of the couch and chairs as late as Christmas! LOL

I moved to WA back in '99 and snow is one of the things I miss from there but not the summer heat and humidity or winter cold temps and wind chill LOL Here we only get rain and sun, When it does snow its usually gone in a few hours, witch is good as drivers around here can barely drive in the rain. temps in the heat of summer only get up to the low 90s and in the winter only down to the mid to high 30s so its pretty nice temp wise
