1970 brake upgrade question
Hey guys, i've got a 70 swb stepside. Im looking to upgrade the front brakes to disc. I've read several previous post on here. But i wanted a straight answer on this topic.
1- What is needed to put disk brakes on the front? 2- will a 71 knuckle/spindle fit in the upper and lower control arms? 3- i have a power brake booster, do i need to run new steel lines? thanks

Re: 1970 brake upgrade question
i was going to buy most of the stuff from a/m store like oreillys instead of pulling the old stuff.

Re: 1970 brake upgrade question
have you read thru this thread??....Lots of great info to answer you questions in #1
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=444815 #2 yes the spindle will fit, but you'll need to change the ball joints and tie rods and center link #3 does your truck already have power brakes or are you adding....if adding, you'll probably have to re-plumb some of the lines ![]()
