Step side taillights - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I need a little help. I have a 68 stepper and I came across some stainless taillights that fit years 54 - 59. Does any know what mods it would take to use - will the brackets from those years fit our model year.

I dont have any pics but i had them on my 67 before i took it apart. I drilled new holes and mounted them lower than the original ones. I think they looked great much better then the stock ones.

Did they plug into the existing wiring or did you have to splice them, etc. Thanks.
