87 is done!

In case no one reads the project threads, got my 87 done! Be sure to go over and look.

New engine, new interior and fresh paint. Almost like a new truck.

Re: 87 is done!

Nice job! My hat goes off to you. I have a long, long way to go before I get to where you are. But seeing trucks like yours all done inspires me to keep on going. Luckily, my 80 is all paid for, and is not my daily driver. So I can work on it when the mood strikes, and it costs nothing but taxes and insurance to leave it lay in the driveway if I choose to... But again, cheers to you! Great work! And thanks for sharing the pics along the way.

Re: 87 is done!

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I am very pleased with the outcome of it. Was so nice walking in and turning on the lights in the shop and seeing it sitting there.. Put a smile on my face, that's for sure.

Re: 87 is done!

Yes that is the LMC stuff, came in a 32' roll. I know it won't last but a few years, but it's cheap enough we can just redo it once it starts peeling, cracking or turns yellow. We saved all the pieces so it was easier to cut to the correct length.

Re: 87 is done!

Looks great - looks like a new truck!

I used the LMC side trim as well, except I bought the "pre cut", which was the correct length except for behind the rear wheels. Seems to be staying on pretty well, and it'll be two years this summer.

Did you stay TBI, or did you go carburetor?

Looks great Randy. Have to laugh at the "done" comment though. Are they ever?
