Looking for a gauge pod for the pillar in our trucks does anyone make them

pillar is pretty smalll....i think justdashes.com makes a 67-72 chevy truck dash that holds gauges not ur typica pillar style but i think it looks sweet they even have a nice angle for driver seat view

I think they run about $300 now. They used to be about $500 if I'm not mistaken

IMO there is plenty of room on the stock dash for all the gauges you should need.
I thought the glove box door idea was cool, but the gauges should mount from rear.
The covan panel is cool too, or you can alway cut your own out and pug any gauge in any arragenemt.

i have custom panel already full of gauges i just like the look of the pod on the pillar thats all

not anything worth looking at right now. We are building the plug and mold. and also working on some other panels at same time. You prbably will be finished before we do. They will be a two gauge panel for AUtometer gauges right now. Once we get the mold done it will go fast. If had access to one of those million $$ rapid proto-typers that build out of plastic it would be quicker.

We will be posting pics of the plug pretty soon. We have been actively working on it in our spare time

I don't know if they will be press formed out of Styrene or ABS. Or maybe FG depending on the cost. We can do both. They will be plain pillars and ones with a Guage. Question 1 or two??? ANy interest in Carbon Fiber ones? We are also doing a panel for the guys who remove the gas tanks and want to clean it up

I think so. We are going to use the 2.1/6" gauges cause this is how the first attempt looked after trying to use the 2.5/8" This was just a mockup to see what it looked like and it looked like two dog food cans on a pillar

the diameter in pic is 3" We are shorting it up some, the gauges are 3" lg to the studs, so they will stick out kind of far' their is not much room on the pillar. I may have to lap the cover over the door rubber. Remember this is just a proto and the final product will look a lot better. Plus I was thinking of making a foot sort of over the dash pad

update.
here is the plug for the mold as it stands now. Still needs a lot of work but its getting their. It will have to use 2.1/16 guages or 1.5 in. I gave up on the big gauges.

Yes they do. I would have liked for them to angle up some. Right now they are turned towards the driver about 20 degree's but not angled up. The problem with a F/G mold is it likes straight lines.I am trying to make a 1 piece mold and angled up would make me build a 2 piece. I may have to go to the two piece or get rid of the cylinder idea and use a block design thats angled up. If that makes sense. The plug will have to pull out of the mold easily. i Will set it up on the pillar and take pic. tommorow

i redid the plug and still working on it. here are some pics now. remeber its not finished and won't be this thick. The tubes will be cut down. there is a tick mark on the top tube in the last pic. that is the bare minimum with AUTO METER GAUGES PLUS 1/4". the lower tip will curve some and it may have to be relieved for a dash pad some.
