Front Frame Question!!!
How far do the front frame bars (where the bumper bolts to) extend from the radiator support on a 68 Chevy 1/2 ton.
I need to do some surgery and weld on both frame bars so I can get rid of my roll pan and go with a chrome bumper. I taught myself to weld with an arc welder and have been doing okay, my dad knows enough about it to have gotten me started and i just practiced for like 2 hours...it was fun....so I plan on welding on some donor parts from a junk yard....it wont be show quality but i'll make it as clean as I can. AND YES I CHOPPED OFF THE FRAME BARS i was a little dumb a few years back.....I regret it now but eh....ill fix it.

OK cool....This might help but a measurement from the Radiator support above the frame would be more helpful....I cant take it all apart and measure.
This is in inches ?
