Question frame ID #s

hello this question has probably been ask a lot. sorry.but i have a 72 gmc numbers on title matches Vin tag on cab . its got a Chevy front clip that someone changed along before i got it .frame and bed has been shorten. I'm wondering what frame i have . the numbers that i have found on frame are 7s157067. is it a 67? if anybody knows id really appreciate it . i guess it doesn't really matter I've powder coated it and have a lot invested in it .so I'm gonna keep it . just would like to know..thanks m.mouse

There should be numbers stamped on the top of the frame just behind the steering box and under the cab (also on top of the frame) just about even with the door handle on the drivers side. I don't think the numbers on the side of the frame will tell you anything... If you have had it powder coated they may be hard to see.

Here is a photo of Jason Duncan's truck that shows the partial VIN stamped on the frame. The number is stamped on top of the frame rail on the driver's side behind the transmission crossmember as shown in the photo. The number will begin with the last digit of the model year followed by the plant code then the last part of the VIN. Example 2B149867 would be a 1972 model year built in Baltimore. The full VIN in this example would be something like CCE142B149867.
