Brake pedal squeak

My '71 with power brakes has a bad squeak whenever I step on the brakes. I've tried spray lubricant on the shaft and pivot points under the dash, but I haven't disassembled anything. Any tips? Are there bushings that wear out that I need to replace?

Re: Brake pedal squeak

maybe the brake switch itself squeaking or the rubber pedal squeaking against the metal?

Did you ever figure out why the pedal was squeaking? mine is doing the same, but squeaks all the time unless i lift pedal with my foot.

Re: Brake pedal squeak

Mine did this. Found out it was a loose booster. Tightened the 4 nuts down on the firewall and the squeak went away.
