S-10 swap maybe
i am new but i have read some of everyones posts and i have a 1950 gmc truck that i just purchased and i would like to restore it. i have seen where the S-10 frame works pretty good but have alot of questions. i have never done anything like this before so i kinda need alot of help and this looked like a good place to get it. i just would like to know what i have to do to get started and get it going thanks for your time.

First if your gmc is a short bed, best to start with a longbed regular cab s10, if you are restoring it, what are your plans. S10 swap seems pretty involved. I am starting one now. You def. need to be able to weld, and have a great knowledge of exactly what you want before you start.

Stake pockets are on the corners of the bed and in the middle on the sides on long beds.
