What kind of mufflers for a strait 6
Hey guys I'm lookin for suggestions on my 50' GMC 228 . Its got headers with a 2 barrel carb. I heard smithy glass packs sound good. I'm goin with old school look. I'm also lookin for a dust cover for the bellhousing. P.S. I don't want to be obnoxious just a good tone

Then you can make some steel packs easy. Good old 50's sound. SS tubing of 2 sizes and a bunch of ss lathe scrap. Different sound from glass packs.
I just googled up porter makes ss steel packs at about 125 or $140 each. Last edited by Number 9; 05-02-2011 at 02:55 PM. Reason: spelling |

Porters if you want a really sweet sound. http://portermufflers.com/ Listen to a few of their videos as they have several with six cylinders. Not cheap but they do give that really sweet sound.
