How far down to I put the rag joint on my PS Gear? with pic - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

There are threads then a space and more threads. Do I seat it all the way up against the gear?

Your pic isn't working for me but I can tell you the rag joint bolt has to be out, then slide it back down on the splines( might only go one way) until you can put the bolt back in. When it's in right the bolt will be between those two splines on the gear. Hope this helps
