yet another booster question
Due to space issues, how well would a single 8" work on a disc/drum set up?
I have a L6 250 with clifford intake and clearance is an issue. So should I use the 8" or just run it manual. any Tips?

Re: yet another booster question
I would suggest hooking a vacuum gage to your motor to see what kind of vacuum you have. Then armed with your vacuum information call this place and ask them. Brakes are their specialty and they will steer you in the right direction: http://www.chtopping.com/Home/index.html
Let us know what you find out. I am betting they will tell you if you are going to use a booster, and can't use a big 11" single, that you should use a dual, 'cause the single 8" isn't enough diaphragm area. And that a manual set-up would be better than a single 8", again 'cause the single 8" isn't enough diaphragm area. If you don't have enough area, based on your vacuum signal, a power brake set-up can be worse than no booster at all. If you have ever tried to stop a boosted brake vehicle with the motor not running you know what I am referring to. Hope this helps. John Last edited by lakeroadster; 05-06-2011 at 08:15 AM. |
