71 Shortbox Junkyard Find

Hey guys. Just found this one and took a couple pix. I know how much we like to see them. I might try to save it if the price is right.

Called twice from work today - no return calls. So I stopped by after work. 'They put it in the yard before I got here this morning.' Randy said. It didn't feel like he ever had any intention of saving it. The rims supporting it by the rockers have the cab bent so bad now the doors won't open or close. 16" rims laying in the mud. Grille now smashed.
Found protect-o-plate and service records under the seat which I saved with the glove box door.

what kind of rear suspension did it have? i'm thinkin about swappin frames

Another chevy soldier falls. When taking the glovebox door and protecto plate I felt it was akin to taking the dog tags. My buddy got the tailgate and a door after I left. It's amazing that there will just be a skelton left tomoroow.

They werent even careful when they moved it with the fork truck. There were suspension components broken underneath. Still has the leaf spring posi.

I guess we can take solace in the fact we have at least one already. Loosing this one only makes ours that much more valuable.

There will be no trace of this truck in a week. Wonder how many times a month this happens?

Stopped by for another look and pix. It is 'already processed' and goes in the yard Monday. I asked them to hold it for me until they determine a price.

ok that sounds a bit wrong, someone finds a junkyard find to save it as a full truck, and others wanting it for parts lol guess i just wont understand lol but great find hope it goes to a great home.
