Unmolested 55 2nd to 59. Chevrolet should never have stopped making them. And should start making them again.

Re: What is the most desireable 50's
You're definitely opening this up to individual opinions.
I'm going to say the most desirable 50's truck is a '49!

Re: What is the most desireable 50's
The most desirable is the more common 55-57 stepside. If your into 2nd series trucks. If you want something unigue go for a 58-59 fleetside. 47-54 are great also. If really want different go for a gmc.

Re: What is the most desireable 50's
I like the 55-57 myself. In fact I just bought a 56. The old car price "Guide" gives more value to the 48-53.

Re: What is the most desireable 50's
X2 on the 59 fleet. 9500 isnt bad assuming its not a bondo trap. I paid 5k 8 yrs back for a sb small window fleetside. Has rust in cab corners and a little in the floors. If had to do it over i would spend more $ for a cleaner one though. Love the gmc mustache.

Re: What is the most desireable 50's
From experience on doing two complete frame-offs the 53 five window would be my pick over my second the 57 GMC. Frame wise I can move the bare frame from the 53 in a shop very easily the 57 frame takes 4 men to move it. Lighter weight =faster truck or better gas mileage.
