Help!!!!!! Advice plz
Last week i wrecked my dd 83 custom deluxe, now im forced to get my project 72 c20 into driveable shape i replaced the drive shaft now all i need to do is replace a brake line, the side that screws inro the drum is rounded off and i havent fooled with the other end, is there some trick to getting this thing loose. Its just making me mad and i need to fix it

Best way to keep from rounding them off is to use a tubing wrench (like a box end wrench with a piece cut out big enough for the line to fit through). Once they round off pretty much your only option is to use a pair of vise grips or small pipe wrench to get them out.

Up here in salt country here is the procedure:
1. Cut off the break line right above the fitting. 2. Put a socket on the cut off piece and take it off. 3. Make a new break line. If it is too rounded off for a six point socket use a vice grips or similar. If I had a nickle for every hard break line I made I wouldn't need my day job any more. And be prepared for the bleeder on that cylinder to be frozen too. You may as well soak that with penetrating oil while you're making a new brake line. Use a 6-point socket on the bleeder so you don't round it off too. I'd totally remove the bleeder if you can get it loose. That way you can clean it up and check to make sure the hole in it isn't rusted shut. If you shear off the bleeder, new cylinders are only $10 - $20 each.

Yeah, I rounded mine off too. Went a got some tubing wrenches from Harbor Freight. They work great.

Thanks ill hopefully get it off tiday, the bleeder valve actually came out pretty easily and as of right now wd40 is my best friend
