1/2 ton leaf rear upper shock mount stud?
I just picked up a barn fresh 72 GMC c1500 Sierra. I am putting Tires, shocks , exhaust, and an electronic ignition on it. The rear upper shock bolt/stud twisted off. It appears to be a stud sticking out of a cast tripod mount. Is this stud replaceable? Thanks.

I just did this, Napa has the part you need. I can't for the life of me remember the crazy name they gave it, I just tried to search their site for it but no to avail. Anyway what I did was just cut the old stud out and the new one bolts in! Although I have not yet given it the test of time, haven't driven it since!

Thanks gobbles, did you cut it out with a torch? Do you know is it threaded into the cast base. or maybe pressed? I have enough left to get a hold of to heat and turn out.
