Anyone put one of these on their truck?
I've been looking for a bed cover for the 71 for some time now and it looks like this might be a good one. I'd rather have a hard cover but as far as I can tell, they just aren't available. This one is an Extang 54315. How does this stack up to a Truxedo? Are there better ones out there?

IMHO Sport Master makes one of the best bed covers out there as long as you don't plan to do a lot of removing it other wise the snaps will give you troubles.

Re: Anyone put one of these on their truck?
how much do you want to spend ,do you want fiberglass or cloth or sheetmetal or lexan
i got the pro pick electric hard tonneau cover ,i did see one of those lexan cover i wont go that way they leak water, pro pick cover has water channels so it will seal it and drains to the outside of the bed ,

I just installed the Extang Full Tilt. Its vinyl with a alum frame that tilts or can be fully removed. Here is a link.

I believe www.checkerpro.com will build a hard cover for you if they are still in business.

Re: Anyone put one of these on their truck?
CheckerPro a few years ago they were in KY. They had some issues and a few complaints. They then started giving a year warranty on their workmanship. Later they moved (3-4 years ago?) to the TX area. Somebody in the Tx area needs to look them up, see if they are still doing custom covers to fit any truck like before. They were reasonably priced slightly less than 1/2 of the bigger names with all the bells n whistles. Carpeted bed/ cargo light and gas struts. And they even offered paint matching for an additional coin.
