Radio Ariels...

How come just about every truck has their Radio Antenia on the passenger side of truck? Mine is on the driver side...is it a Canadian thing or was there sum other reason for it....just curious if anyone can shed some light. I just really noticed as I was going through the 200 some odd pics i have saved...

Thanks

Brian

Talking

It could be a "Canadian" thing. I have never seen an antenna on the driver's side.

Does it look good that way?

I have only seen one on the right. Is the radio on the option sheet? If not then either they put one in at the dealer and drilled the hole in the "wrong" side or maybe a PO did it?

Has anyone ever seen an original cowl without a antenna hole, if there was a radio delete and the dealer didn't install a radio I don't think they would have drilled a hole OR am I completely off on all of this and all trucks had a hole made in the cowl at the factory?

My truck does not have a radio and never did have one. The stock cover is on the dash and there is no hole for an antenna.

Sorry, i been off line for a couple days.
The trucks that did not have a radio were not drilled (as said above) and to my knowledge, none were ever drilled on the drivers side. I have never seen a stock ant on the drivers side at all.
THe Dope Smokin Old Man put it on the drivers side on my truck and it is the most annoying thing I have ever seen. going down the road when it moves it distracts your attention from the road. It is just barley in your peripheral vision and pretty distracting.

So then it would have been the dealer or a PO
