back up light switch harness
My truck was originally a 4spd that was "converted" to a auto and I have no backup lights. So my question is, is there a vendor or somewhere that sell the harness that runs down the fire wall to the trans switch? I've looked around and I haven't seen anything around. Any help would be great.

Re: back up light switch harness
I don't think there is harness that runs down the fire wall to the switch. My truck was converted to Auto mattic and I dont remember any thing done to the wiring for the back up light to work it still has the original wiring. I think it's all under the dash hooked up to the steering wheel where the nutral safty switch is. Heres a link to the wiring diagram http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=185856

Re: back up light switch harness
I'll get some pics of the plug under the hood. It's not the 4 wire harness that goes all the way to the tail lights. It's just a 2 wire (light green, and dark green) that goes down to the transmission to the reverse switch. I still have the floor shift column also, so there is no neutral saftey switch-reverse light switch on the column. Any floor shift 4 speed guys out there that can get a pic for me?
EDIT: I just took a look at the wire diagram, and it look like it is part of the engine harness.
