Those look like the flexible LEDs sold on eBay ... they come in lots of colors and they normally shine forward, but they have some the shine sideways....

Re: my homemade leds upgrade

I finally spotted the led strip in that picture, I thought you were just doing the dashbulb LED upgrade at first. So, it says you put LED bulbs in too, did you leave them or is this pic showing just the strips? I was going to throw LEds in my stock bulb locations, but maybe I'll do the strips instead, or should I do it in conjunction with the led bulbs?

Anyone know the stock part number for dash bulbs? I've got a bunch of LED mini bulbs left over from other projects, but I think they are all 194s.

Re: my homemade leds upgrade

I did the same thing a couple years ago tomy Suburban using the blue led light strips only and no back lighting. Got them straight from the manufacturer www.v-leds.com
Here's mine

And by using a couple of these adaptors from v-leds I was able to just plug them into the factory light socket in the back of the cluster housing without splicing into any wiring.

Re: my homemade leds upgrade

sorry for the delay in updating the subject ... in my case try to keep the original look, so remove the bulbs, avoiding excess use glass lighting to help the reading of instruments.

Here are some pictures and I wait at night to take photos in general
