Is anyone running 15 x 10 rallys on all 4 wheels? I came across a set that someone wants to sell. He suggested running them on 275 60 15 tires - what do you guys think, would it look okay?
Forgot to add: he also said he would swap out my rear axle and convert my 68 to disc brakes converting from a 6 to 5 lug (parts and labor $950) - good deal or not?

I'm only running them on the rear. I don't think they will clear on the front.

A decent deal, assuming new parts.
I know disc brakes are popular, but bang for the buck, not so good. Rear brakes only provide 20% braking power, disc or not. Unless your hauling 2 tons of brick.

If you have wheels with an open spoke design they do look better than drums, but in your case with rally's, you might use the money elsewhere. Maybe you have future plans for billet wheels or the like????

I don't think I wold run 10" rims on the front - not sureif they would fit, and I don't know how it wold look - I guess I'd have to see a picture. 8's in front makes more sense.

275/60/15's on all 4 dropped 2 inches front and back. The problem I found is that with the new cars, the new trends and various things.. they don't make that many sport truck 15's anymore. I had to switch up rubber sizes to a 31/10.5/15 street, or go to different rim size

$950.00 would buy a few other things...guess it depends on what you want to do to your truck, your budget and such...have any picks as it sits?

I am old school. When I was younger, I would have forked out a load of money for a stereo, loud mufflers and a set of mags, and then struggle to put 5 bucks in the tank (way back:-). Now, I think more of the overall: budget/time/work involved to get it there. Best wishes whatever way you go.

I would only put 10's in the rear. If you get them, maybe someone out there has 8's on all four and would trade you for a pair. Here's mine with 15x8 in front and 15x10 in the rear.

10's all the way around is what im gonna go with. I love the way the extra beef gives it a mean look from the front(look at Ace of Shades' white '68...that's the look for me). But, I am leaving mine at stock height. Their may be clearance issues if you've got it lowered very much. Good luck, I dont know much about axles, but it seems like at least a few hundred in labor and might be worth it for posi trac and new discs....plus the guy would probably make sure the whole system was working good while in the process.

8.5's all around with BFG 275/60's. Better get the correct offset and have power steering for the 10's up front. Dont go lower than a 2.5" drop up front or you'll start shredding rubber in the turns.

no problems with mine--turns lock to lock with no rubbing. lowered about 3 inches all around with cut springs. you ARE gonna need p/s though.

street-style 31-10.50's on front 29-12.50 mickeys on back.

275-60's are gonna bubble out about like the 10.50's on the front do.

personally i like the look if you lower the truck--not so much if it's not lowered.

"50's" look and perform better on 10" wheels, in my opinion.
