Re: White Walls Lets see them
What you're looking for is "wide white walls". That's what they are referred to as and whitewalls are the narrow ones that were installed on these trucks through the years. Wide whitewalls are a current trend never seen on these trucks before. Some look pretty cool. Although,it's hard for me to look past them being from an era long gone before these trucks hit the road.

Re: White Walls Lets see them
Great Thanks! The place link I posted above is for a guy that's been doin our tires in the Bay Area for years. The shop dates back to the early 60's but closed a few years ago after the owner died. BUT this guy was able to keep buffing machine and is offering the service as of this past April. Only concern since this is a 1950's machine - it may not be able to do the 16" tire.
Calderons Tire on Alum Rock in San Jose, CA can do almost any size tire mounted on a wheel and on their spindle using the same buffing machine. Thanks again for your info!!

Re: White Walls Lets see them
These came out nice!! I used to live out in the High Desert not long ago. I have a few questions for ya if ya don't mind:
Did you do these or have a local shop? If so, where? I have a Bro in Hesperia looking to do this. How wide of a white wall did you end up with? Did all 4 turn out the same? Also what size tires are you running? I need to swap my WWW out soon and was thinking to use the same brand and model tires. Thanks SSchevimp A couple of links for making wide white walls. NOTE: I did buy a single raised white letter tire from Les Shwab and did this. It did not work as hoped. I know that the BFG T/A's used to get this treatment back in the day and looked good. Hoping the BFG Long Trail Tour will do just fine. Thanks
