Lets see your rare NOS Parts...

I know there are folks out there with rare NOS parts so lets see pics of what you have. This NOS GM CB isn't that rare but the NOS GM Power Supply is...I have only seen one since I have been buying up parts. Ok who's next

Re: Lets see your rare NOS Parts...

is the new NOS stuff(the stuff still available at GM) the same as the "old"nos except for the packaging. Are the new parts considered "NOS"?

technically not, but it's almost always sold that way. Especially the parts are still available....to me that's just New GM parts. But on ebay, people sell them as NOS (including me once unwittingly (didn't know you could still get them when I sold it))

Once a part is discontinued by GM, i call it NOS. Even some parts made as recently as 2008 I consider NOS since if can't get it any more...

I have a GM fender and tailgate still in the boxes. I don't know how rare they are but I'm glad I got them.

Re: Lets see your rare NOS Parts...

NOS is Beautiful. It amazes me how this stuff survives for our enjoyment today.

I wish I could join in but all I have are common POS Parts

Not a rare part, but I thought it was still a cool find. Had the seat out of my 69 and this was under the floormat.

Re: Lets see your rare NOS Parts...

This is another reason some people don't understand why we collect NOS parts. We will eventually use these parts on our trucks or possibly trade our parts for other parts.

Re: Lets see your rare NOS Parts...

I don't have pics, but I have a set of NOS 67-68 aluminum grill hoops,NOS 67-68 core support, and a NOS right rear 68-72 stepside fender. Back in the late 80's I bought a NOS 67 rear cab panel for about $220 from the local dealer. He said 11 more were available! Wish I knew then what I know now, and had a little more money! Cool thread.
