65 w/ LT1 Radiator options
hey guys,
Doing a engine swap in my 65 and need to put a new radiator. Was wondering what is a good option for a reasonable price that doesnt require too much fabrication. Thanks! |

Re: 65 w/ LT1 Radiator options
look at the Champion aluminum on evilbay if your wanting bling, or just get a V8 stocker for one with AC.

I ran my stock rad until it started leaking and switched to an aluminum one.

The stock one should be enough for the LT1.

Re: 65 w/ LT1 Radiator options
I'm not that familar with the LT1/LT4's but I was thinking they needed a different radiator due to the reverse cooling.

Re: 65 w/ LT1 Radiator options
the reverse cooling is internally in the water pump and how the water is routed through the engine, I do not think the cooling is reversed through the radiator (I have been known to be wrong) LT1 Burb on this site has one he should know. Kieth

No, it doesn't matter, it is important to have a sealed system with no air in it though, and an overflow tank.
