tire suggestions
Im going to buy new tires in two weeks and im just looking for suggestions, im thinking about getting 275/60/15 for the back and 235/60/15 for the front, my only problem is that with the tires i have on the front right now are 235/75/15 and when i turn the wheel all the way to the left or right the tires rub the fender, so im hoping if i get 235/60/15 for the front it will fix that problem, or should i go with 225/60/15 for the front, but then if i go that small in the front, im concerned i'll get some understeer because i do like taking some turns kinda quick. so suggestions would be nice. pics of my truck to get an idea
![]() The back end sits a tad bit lower then in that picture. ![]()

Re: tire suggestions
its like a 3/-5ish drop. i want to keep it all the same around but im just worried my tired will rub a **** ton more in the front if i go 275 all around. I tuck a decent amount of tire in the front.

Re: tire suggestions
This may help http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp
That looks like my truck before I raised it back up I have 255/60s A 245/60 is not that much different the the 255 for some reason. What method was used to lower your truck? |

Re: tire suggestions
Is it a 2" or 3" coil? Check that tire size calculator and see what ya find. Look at the 275-50s see what happens. oops I just did they're $280 each. Measure from your spindle or center cap to the fender and let us know where you have

Re: tire suggestions
Im not sure on the coil cause i bought it off a buddy of mine. but from the center of the wheel to the fender its about 13.5-14" in the front, didn't measure the back cause im not worried about the back.

Re: tire suggestions
235-60s is 26.1" (13+" radius) tall 245-60s is 26.6" tall 13.25+" radius). I have 255-60s on rally wheels and I don't know the offsets. I'm lookin at 2" above the tread, but I'm old, I can still get in the truck lol
Your truck is going to be about 2" (oops back space that)2.5- 3" lower with the new tires too. Ground clearance becomes an issue. look here http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp Last edited by 1LowToy; 06-05-2011 at 08:02 PM. |

Re: tire suggestions
screw it, i'll just get 235/60/15 for the front and 275/60/15 for the back, it cant get any worse then it is already if i go with a shorter sidewall in the front. If it does get worse, i'll get cut the fender lining on the inside.

Re: tire suggestions
Peal the tires off Buffin is cheep, that oxydation will peal off like butter and shine like mad. Then give them a clear coat if your not ready to keep them polished.
Wear rubber cloves that aluminum is not good for you. |

Re: tire suggestions
I think i might do 275/70/15 and 235/70/15 now, I think what causes my rubbing issue is the wheel offset or whatever
