1st Gen. Blazer Gas Tank Help
I need to get a new tank for my '71 Blazer. What's the reasoning for buying a sleek, new stainless steel tank like the one below, vs. a stock replacement from LMC or other company? Just trying to decide what kind of tank to buy and want to understand the difference between the two.

Most of them similar to what you posted have more capacity than stock or specialty items like in-take fuel pumps for fuel injection.

Re: 1st Gen. Blazer Gas Tank Help
I'm assuming these custom SS tanks are much more difficult to install than the stock ones?

Re: 1st Gen. Blazer Gas Tank Help
I'd assume so too. My stock tank works fine and hasn't rusted out during it's 39 years, so I'd probably just go with a repop of the original. You can look for a skid plate if you want to protect it from getting damaged off-road.

Re: 1st Gen. Blazer Gas Tank Help
I'm in the same boat. I have an aftermarket 40 gal. tank right now that is big and bulky. I saw that brothers has a complete tank and sending unit with all the straps and parts for $179. So i think i will be picking that up soon.

Re: 1st Gen. Blazer Gas Tank Help
I think its $240 for the kit. $180 is for the tank alone. Google Brothers Truck Parts for the site.
