Front down...on to da back!...Updated..

The spindles I bought were correct. They bolted right up. So I put them in today, and trimmed the coils.

Wasnt bad, finished both sides in 5hrs, and that was a lunch n parts store run too.

damn thing sits crooked now though...

It doesnt have a shock on drivers side, plus drivers rear tire is low, and its sitting on a slight incline in the pics, but sits the same on flat floor of garage...

I trimmed both coils exactly, and it sat even before...?

Oh well, its pulled in forward now, and in morning I plan to try and get 5lug rearend swapped in with jeep coils n 2" blocks.

So we'll see..

Heres pics once I got it outside. Notice my custom ventilation system, and fancy hurst shifter...lol

Got all 4 of my wheels painted and ready, and got the rear tires, but gotta get the fronts yet. Then it'll be rolling on better shoes. off with the wagon wheels...

I think the 57 Chevy poverty caps are one of the most attractive designs ever produced.

Re: Front down...on to da back!

That sure looks good.
It's possible that the low tire on the rear is lifting some weight off of the other front tire....Hopefully that's the problem.
Look forward to seein' some pic's after you settle down the tail-end of that thing.

The seat is a custom one-off built by 7-Up....

And yeah, Matt bought the burb a few weeks ago. He's already been driving the wheels off of it

Re: Front down...on to da back!

Back is done..mostly. Ive never had to heat so many bolts to break them loose...wow.

But the 5lug rear, 2"blocks, shocks, super trac bar etc is in. Just have to hook up driveshaft and do new rear brakelines.

And then onto passenger door, aluminum radiator, front wheels n tires, and then cosmetics.

Im tired. Was alot harder than I thought it would be. Just me and my 15yr old son.

Right side spring might not be seated correctly in the upper pocket.
