whats is the best way to put the under the window trim on?

i want to install the trim that runs from drip rail to drip rail under the rear window.. i know the trucks that came with this trim have little nails that stick out with nylon clips that go on them... so how do i put trim on mine even though it doesnt have those pins?

thanks for anyhelp you may give!

I know some used double sided tape but I dont really like that idea and I dont think you would either but it is an option I had the pins your talking about on my cab but I took them off and dont have them anymore but the look just like nail heads so maybe you could try to make your own pins of it comes down to it hope that helps you Ricky

You can weld those little nails right back on! Most stud guns (used in the body shop business) for pulling out dents has an attachment for putting those back on. You can buy the trim studs. Most guns come with a bag of them.

actually tape is really not the best way. We sell the little tiney screw in studs that attach the plastic clips to attach it. Weld on studs work but is better if unpainted but the screw in studs will keep it on. Its only like $10.00 for all the studs and plastic clips. all you need is a drill bit.

It should just pop off. You might use a putty knife or a gasket scraper to get it started.

It's like making your bed in the navy you start from the middle and work your way out try and push the drivers piece straight horizontally to the left and the passenger piece straight horizontally to the right but it should only slide out no more then an inch if if slides more then that and the clips are still attached then it's gonna make you work for it!
