If you mean, are the wheelbase's the same between the two? Then no, the ext cab is longer than a regular cab longbed frame. I can't recall how much different, but there is a difference.

Shortbed is 108"
Longbed is 117" Extended Cab is 122"

You should check out the 47-54 section of the site. There are a few builds going on over there involving s-10 chassis. I do believe that the best candidate is the regular cab long box version.
