Door issue!

I'vebrought this up before and didn't get anywhere really. The doors on the 67-71 trucks are weak with regards to the inner and outter panels spreading apart at the glass. Example my outter scraper does not contact the glass well at the vent window. GM fixed this problem by adding a sc rew to the door right below the wing window. Who has run into this and what hae you done to correct it?

Re: Door issue!

There is a piece of sheetmetal that bridges the window gap on these. I'd be willing to bet yours is broken. (many are)

You would have to remove the windows and repair that piece of metal.

Re: Door issue!

Nope , not the case here! I noticed even with the strap there there is adjustment by pushing the inner and outter together bending the welded tab. But once the glass is in thats not possible and when you install the wing window, the door is spread apart.
